Barbara Nettelbeck Barbara has many years experience supporting people with the multitude of life’s dilemmas, and believes that positive relationships are the foundation for navigating the challenges and joys of life. Her private practice is the culmination of a career spanning more than 20 years in disability, mental health, family work, child protection, adoption and permanent care, and therapeutic foster care. Barbara promotes mindfulness, relaxation and meditation in her therapeutic work.

 

Barbara has qualifications in social work and clinical family therapy. She has completed the developmental psychiatry course enhancing her understanding of childhood and adolescent development. Barbara is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, and is an accredited mental health social worker who is registered with Medicare. She is a clinical member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy with a clinical masters in family therapy (Bouverie Centre).  Most recently Barbara successfully completed the Specialist Course in Couple Therapy at Relationships Australia to further enhance her skills.
